Growing Up with Down’s… Raising a Special Child

That extra chromosome which changed my Life. My first born is Down Syndrome. How is this condition going to impact my entire existence? They say that Parenting is not an easy task, sure enough, but it is even more challenging when you have to raise a special needs child. We have been gifted with beautiful children. Each child has their own capabilities and limitations. The parent is the best judge for their child’s potential and strives to bring out the best in their child. This book is a small effort to bring forth our journey with Dhaval. A compilation of all the good and tough times that we have endured during Dhaval’s growing up process. It is an effort to create awareness and acceptance, which are keys that will help integrate and mainstream individuals with special needs.
