Johad -An epic tale of accomplishments

The son of a zamindar, a doctor by education, merely twenty-five years old but driven by a goal, comes to a small village. There is no water and no life in that area only the shadow of death. Poverty, hunger, the continuous struggle for every drop of water when he sees this all around him, he decides then and there to work for restoring water. Initially, he is all alone in this journey. He neither receives help from anyone, nor are any facilities available. Villagers take him to be a terrorist. His urban background and education are laughed at. They ask him, can he even hold a pickaxe properly? But his determination is unwavering. In the scorching heat and prickly winters of Rajasthan, all alone, he digs a johad for four months for the people who are deprived of even a drop of water.
Finally, his hard work pays off. Villagers start believing in his dream and his efforts. Then starts a beautiful, dazzling journey. A journey from death towards life, from darkness to light, from total destruction to prosperity.
