Vimal Solanki is a Marketing enthusiast with over 25 years of international and domestic marketing experience across FMCG categories.

My assignments have taken me around most of the world, allowing interface with multi-level transnational personnel, gaining diverse consumer insights and occasions to work on international alliances and tie-ups.

After managing key projects and product lines in parts of Europe, North America, the CIS [former Soviet Republics] and the Middle East for 13 years, I joined India’s largest departmental stores chain – Shopper’s Stop to head its Personal Care category. I launched the first private label line of fragrances for the company.

Most recently, I was employed with Reliance Retail, part of Reliance Industries – India’s largest private sector enterprise. I have handled Trade Planning and Marketing for over 1100 Reliance Value Format stores across the country, and have also helped successfully launch 50+ private label products in Personal Care & Home Care. I headed the Marketing & Brands Partnership at Reliance Wellness. I was part of the Core Management Team of a Direct-To-Home initiative under Reliance Home Club, responsible for managing the brand’s strategic evolution as well as all aspects of creative and consumer-facing engagement.

I co-founded 17th Letter and Branddesk, marketing & mentoring outfits focused on customer-centric innovative solutions.
